Are you a Mixed Animal Veterinarian with strong companion animal skills and a bit of sheep, beef and equine experience looking for your next adventure? This fixed-term role, covering parental leave until March 2026 (or later), includes rostered Saturdays and shared on-call rotation, and is your chance to work with a fun and dedicated group of professionals who care as much about your development as they do about delivering exceptional care.
About the Role?
As a Mixed Animal Veterinarian, you will primarily be providing excellence in care to our Petfirst clients and their fur families, while also supporting our large animal team with a small portion of sheep, beef, and equine work. This role isn’t just a job it’s a chance to be part of a passionate, down-to-earth team in one of New Zealand’s most exceptional places.
We’re looking for someone who thrives on delivering outstanding care and is comfortable pitching in on the occasional large animal case. You will take a collaborative approach, foster strong relationships with our clients and farmers, and bring a positive, adaptable mindset to this all creatures great and small role.

What You'll Bring?
We're looking for someone who's passionate about animals as we are and brings:

New Zealand Veterinary Council Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (or equivalency enabling registration).

A Bachelor of Veterinary Science with 3+ years of experience in Mixed Animal Practice.

A clinical skill set including surgery and consulting with an ability and willingness to undertake sole charge as and when required.

Exceptional communication skills, ensuring smooth collaboration with your team and clarity for pet parents.
