Join our friendly, experienced and forward-thinking team at Farmfirst Riverside in the heart of Mid-Canterbury.

We’re looking for a passionate full-time Large Animal Veterinarian with a strong interest in dairy practice to become part of a genuinely supportive team environment. This full-time role will see you providing high-quality veterinary services to our large animal clients, working as part of a thriving mixed practice. As a key member of our progressive team, you will play an integral part in supporting the local agricultural community.

What You’ll Bring!

 

  • A Bachelor of Veterinary Science with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in Large Animal Practice.
  • A passion for providing high-level production animal care.
  • Excellent technical skills in areas such as herd health management, surgery, and diagnostic testing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with farmers.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  • A clean and current Class 1 driver's licence and the ability to travel to farms as required.
