Join our Wānaka team in a customer care role where you'll support pet parents, farmers, and our veterinary team every day, with the opportunity to provide veterinary nursing support when required.
Customer Care / Veterinary Nurse
Wānaka | Permanent, Full-Time
Be the reason someone leaves our clinic smiling.
At Farmfirst + Petfirst Veterinary, we're passionate about supporting farmers, pet parents, their animals, and the communities we serve.
We're looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Customer Care team member to join our Aspiring team in Wānaka. If you love helping people, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and thrive on building great relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
While this is primarily a customer care role, we'd love to hear from qualified Veterinary Nurses who are happy to use their clinical skills to support our veterinary team when needed.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our clinic, you'll play a key role in creating exceptional experiences for every client who walks through our doors. You'll welcome pet parents and farmers, coordinate appointments, manage enquiries, and support the day-to-day administration of the clinic to ensure everything runs smoothly.
If you're a qualified Veterinary Nurse, you'll also have the opportunity to assist our clinical team with nursing duties as required, helping provide outstanding care for our patients during busy periods or when extra support is needed.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same, and where your contribution will make a real difference to both our clients and our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service to every client, every day.
- Welcome clients, answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and coordinate appointments.
- Support pet parents and farmers with information about our services and ongoing care.
- Process payments, maintain accurate records, and complete general administrative tasks.
- Work closely with veterinarians and the wider clinic team to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
- Where appropriately qualified, provide veterinary nursing support as required, including assisting with patient care and general clinical duties.
- Help create a warm, professional, and welcoming clinic environment.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administration.
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence using technology and managing multiple priorities.
- A positive, collaborative attitude and a genuine passion for helping people.
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy environment.
It would also be highly advantageous if you have:
- A Diploma in Veterinary Nursing.
- Previous veterinary nursing experience.
- Confidence providing clinical support and assisting the veterinary team when required.
